This is an exerpt of the main weapons and damage types for a traditional vertical space shooter. The game features rich particle effects design, unique flight/weapon controls, and limited Z-Axis flight.
WEAPONS AND DAMAGE TYPES: ************
WEAPONS CONTROLS:
General:
The weapons and damage types are designed to provide the user with visual and intensity level variations. The user will learn to avoid heavy damage weapons and at times sacrifice a normal or effect damage hit to avoid heavy or explosive. Use of projectile speed and limited z-axis movement adds to the overall difficulty of the game.
Movement vs. Weapons:
Control the hero's ship with W,S,A,D. Control of the weapons aim and fire with the mouse. Fire primary is left mouse. Fire secondary is right mouse. This button configuration shifts some focus from flying to weapons. The spacebar is used as a Z-Axis toggle. A pro of this configuration is the free weapon movement and the quick mouse clicking ability. Capsules are stored in the 1,2,3, and 4 keys. User accesses these weapons by pressing the keys or by scrolling with the mouse.
